How To Make Peach Streusel Bread From Scratch
Step 1. Preheat oven: Preheat the oven to 350 °F. Spray 6 mini loaf pans (or 3 regular size loaf pans) with nonstick spray.
Step 2. Prepare dry ingredients: In a large bowl, combine flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
Step 3. Prepare wet ingredients: In a separate bowl, combine buttermilk, eggs, vegetable oil, brown sugar, and vanilla extract.
Step 4. Combine wet and dry ingredients: Make a well in the center of the flour mixture and pour the wet mixture into it. Mix until combined.
Step 5. Add peaches: Fold in diced peaches (peach skin removed).
Step 6. Fill loaf pans: Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans. Layer sliced peaches on top of each batter.
Step 7. Prepare topping: In a medium bowl, combine rolled oats (preferably long-cooking, not instant), brown sugar, and cinnamon. Cut cold butter into small pieces and add to the mixture.
Step 8. Mix and distribute: Use a pastry cutter to cut the cold butter into the mixture. Distribute this streusel topping across the batter in your filled pans.

- 3 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoons salt
- 1 ⅓ cups buttermilk
- 2 large eggs
- ¼ cups vegetable oil
- ⅔ cups brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups diced fresh or can/frozen peaches remove peach skins
For Streusel
- ½ cup rolled oats better to use long-cooking, not instant
- ⅓ cup brown sugar packed
- ¼ teaspoon cinnamon
- 4 tablespoons cold butter cut into small pieces
- 1 cup sliced peaches remove peach skins
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray 6 mini loaf pans (or 3 regular size loaf pans) with non-stick cooking spray.
