- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- 3 egg yolks
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ cup chopped pecans toasted
- ½ cup chocolate chopped
- ¼ cup caramel sauce
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine the heavy cream and whole milk. Heat the mixture over medium heat until it just begins to simmer.
- While the cream and milk are heating up, whisk together the sugar, egg yolks, and salt in a separate bowl.
- Once the cream and milk are simmering, slowly pour the hot mixture into the bowl with the egg yolk mixture while whisking constantly.
