HOW TO MAKE Apple Hand Pies With Puff Pastry

Step 1: Preheat oven according to puff pastry directions. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper. Set aside.

Step 2: In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine the diced apples, sugar, all-purpose flour, apple pie spice, salt, apple cider vinegar, and lemon juice. Mix well. Stir to coat the apples completely and let sit for 30 minutes.

Step 3: Unroll and cut the puff pastry with a pizza cutter into 4-inch squares. Step 4: Spoon about 2-3 tablespoons of the apple mixture onto one half of each pastry square, leaving a little space around the edges. Fold the other half of the pastry over the filling, creating a triangle shape.

Step 5: Use a fork to crimp the edges of the pastry together and seal the turnovers shut. Make two small cuts in the top of the puff pastry.
